In early March 2015, following complete renovations, the Stanislavsky Electrotheater opened its second productiom, a trilogy based on The Blue Bird, directed by Boris Yukhananov. The dramatic basis for this show was an intricate interweaving of Maurice Maeterlinck’s play with the memories of the legendary actors Aleftina Konstantinova and Vladimir Korenev. It is a true story of fate, love and transformation framed by a symbolic fairy tale, which, for us today, has a magical, spellbinding quality. This performance about death and immortality, and of happiness as the quintessence of life’s journey, runs over a three-day period. Filled with thatrical tricks and attractions, the performance is as confessional as it is ironic….
