Theatre director and set designer
Paco Azorin studied stage design and direction in the Institut del Teatre of Barcelona. He has designed more than a hundred productions for opera, theatre, dance and music. In Spain, he operates mainly in theaters and public festivals, such as, Lliure National Drama Centre Theatre Spanish, Teatre Nacional de Catalunya, Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Grec Festival, among others. He created in 2003 the Shakespeare Festival Santa Susana and in 2007 as Director and Designer he created the world premiere of an inedited text by Bernard-Marie Koltès: HAMLET: THE DAY OF THE ASSASSINATION. In 2008, the city of Madrid invited him to direct in the Plaza Mayor the anthology of Zarzuelas.
